In times when many museums worldwide are forced to keep their doors shut, we invite you to engage with exhibitions and collections of women’s museums virtually. Every day we will share with you an online exhibition or virtual view into one of our member museums worldwide. Take a look at the Women‘s Museum of Mexico City today:
On March 8, 2011, International Women’s Day, the National Autonomous University of Mexico opened the first Women’s Museum in Mexico and the second in Latin America, so that the history of women ceases to be a forgotten history, that their contribution to the construction of the country be valued, their human rights be respected, to promote substantive equality between men and women and eliminate gender violence.
