Women’s Museums At Home: Impressionist Girls

Apr 9, 2020

In times when many museums worldwide are forced to keep their doors shut, we invite you to engage with exhibitions and collections of women’s museums virtually. On this blog we will share with you online exhibitions or virtual views into our member museums worldwide.

Girl Museum presents the virtual exhibition Impressionist Girls:

If someone took a picture of you right now, what would it look like? What would you be wearing and doing? Impressionist Girls is a collection of portraits of girls painted in France between the 1870s and the early 1900s. Each painting tells us something important about the girl within it and her world.
