Why does the world need a museum about & for girls?

The Girl Museum starts a Video Competition to celebrate the 10th Anniversary.


This is how you can take part:

Answer, “Why does the world need a museum about & for girls?” in a 20-30 second video. Upload your answer to Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter with #WhyGirlMuseum by June 1. We’ll select the best answers to include in our 10th birthday celebration next year + feature as a ‘Fan of the Week’ on our social media.


RULES:
This contest is open to all, including current volunteers with Girl Museum.

Videos must not exceed 30 seconds.
 Videos will be judged based on their creativity, message clarity and relevance, motivation and inspiration, production, and articulation of why the world needs a museum about and for girls. Amateur videos are welcomed.
Videos can be in any style (e.g. testimonial, comedy, drama, documentary, animated, still art, or live action).
Videos can be in any language, but must have English subtitles if not in English.

Videos must NOT contain:
–Materials that violates, or infringes on, another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity, and intellectual property.
–Any trademarks or brand names.
–Copyrighted material (such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs).
–Material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory, slanderous, or libelous.
–Material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred, or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
–Material that is unlawful, in violation of, or contrary to the laws and regulations where the video is created.
–Visual or verbal mention of any Web sites or brands other than Girl Museum.

PRIZE: Finalist videos will be utilized in Girl Museum’s 10th birthday celebration videos and showcased on our social media.

This contest is subject to all Federal laws and regulations of the United States.

By submitting a video, you represent and warrant that:
–You have obtained permission from each person whose name, image, likeness, or voice (“Likeness”) is included in the submission, and that such person(s) have granted you all necessary rights to use the person’s Likeness as described in these rules.
–If you are under 18, you are posting the video with permission of a parent or guardian.
–You grant Girl Museum irrevocable, royalty-free license to copy, distribute, modify, display, publicly perform, or otherwise use your video for our purposes.
–You have read and abided by all the rules of this contest.
