“I want to reverse the power dynamics” – Laura Volgger, artist

On International Women’s Day the Women’s Museum Meran is sharing with you a video statement by artist Laura Volgger, introducing her work “My Work Is Your Foundation.” She asks the question
what would happen if people who perform unpaid care work suddenly put down their “weapons”? If they collectively refused to work, demanded fair pay, and went on strike?
After all, being the invisible foundation of society means not only burden and burden, but also power.

The exhibition “My Work Is Your Foundation” is on view at the Women’s Museum Meran until 25th March 2023.
