The International Association of Women‘s Museums supports the public release of the Women’s Museum Chile:
The Museum of Women – Chile expresses its support and sorority with the “Las Tesis” Collective, which is being the object of unfounded accusations and political persecution by the Carabineros de Chile.
We want to point out that the social outbreak of October 2019, which was expressed with millions of men and women on the streets of our country, is nothing other than the discomfort of the citizenship due to the deep inequalities that cross our society and that have been left behind. I manifest with more violence during the course of the pandemic that affects us.
We reject the accusations against the feminist movement that throughout its history has demanded an end to violence against women by the patriarchal and repressive State, and we have demanded justice and equality in the face of the government’s null action in the face of deleterious acts of which they have been I object to women and sexual dissent.
For this reason, we call on the national and international feminist movement to be alert to this new onslaught of patriarchy to criminalize our legitimate protest and silence our voices.

La Asociación Internacional de Museos de Mujeres apoya el lanzamiento público del Museo de las Mujeres de Chile:
El Museo de las Mujeres – Chile manifiesta su apoyo y sororidad con el Colectivo “Las Tesis” que está siendo objeto de acusaciones infundadas y persecución política por parte de Carabineros de Chile.
Queremos señalar que el estallido social de octubre de 2019, que se expresó con millones de hombres y mujeres en las calles de nuestro país, no es otra cosa que el malestar de la ciudadanía por las profundas desigualdades que cruzan nuestra sociedad y que han quedado de manifiesto con más violencia durante el curso de la pandemia que nos afecta.
Rechazamos las acusaciones al movimiento feminista que durante toda su historia ha demandado el fin de las violencias contra las mujeres por parte del Estado patriarcal y represor, y hemos exigido justicia e igualdad frente a la nula acción del gobierno ante hechos deleznables de los que han sido objeto las mujeres y las disidencias sexuales.
Por ello, hacemos un llamado al movimiento feminista nacional e internacional a estar alerta frente a esta nueva embestida del patriarcado para criminalizar nuestra legítima protesta y silenciar nuestras voces.
