Mexico City’s Women’s Museum

During the month of July 2023, the following activities were carried out at the Women’s Museum in Mexico City: 4 workshops, 15 conferences and 1 concert.

Our most outstanding event was the Cycle of conferences, in commemoration of the International Day of Afro-descendant women, made up of 6 sessions, some of the participants were: Dra. Leticia Romero Chumacero (FEMU – UACM); Dra. Andrea Samaniego Sánchez (FEMU); Dra. Guadalupe Valdés Osorio (Vocal Nacional de FEMU); Mtra. Rebeca Caballero Álvarez (FEMU); Dra. Raquel Ramírez Salgado (FEMU) and Dra. Alicia Girón (PUEAA- UNAM, FEMU).

FEMU has continued transmitting its weekly radio program entitled: “Mujeres a la Tribuna” (Women take the Stand), broadcasted nationally by the Mexican Institute of Radio (IMER), coordinated by Dr. Patricia Galeana (FEMU’s and Women’s Museum in Mexico City Founding and President) and presented by Dra. Gloria Luz Alejandre (Secretaria General – FEMU).
