Thanks to her contributions to ACE of M.I.C.E. and the Turkish congress meeting and event industry, the Chairwoman of Antalya Publicity Foundation (ATAV) Yeliz Gül Ege has received ACE of M.I.C.E. Awards 2019 Achievement Award within the scope of ACE of M.I.C.E Awards 2019, which is recognized as the Oscar of M.I.C.E. industry.
1900 people attended the ceremony
7th ACE of M.I.C.E. Awards Event and Meeting Award Ceremony awarding the bests of the congress, meeting and event industry with the motto “Connecting Dots” was held in Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Hall in Istanbul. 1900 people including key actors of the business and social life, MICE industry professionals and senior executives in Turkey attended the 7th ACE of M.I.C.E. Awards, which is the greatest award ceremony organized in Turkey.
20 different awards were presented in 2 main categories; ‘Congress, Meeting and Event Awards’ and ‘Event/Meeting Management Companies Awards’. The chairwoman of ATAV, Yeliz Gül Ege received ACE of M.I.C.E. Achievement Award thanks to her contributions to ACE of M.I.C.E., which is the single congress, meeting and event exhibition fair of Turkey and to the development of a high-income generating congress tourism in Antalya. ACE of M.I.C.E Awards Event and Meeting Awards Jury Honorary President, the Dean of Okan University Medical Faculty, Prof Dr. Semih Baskan and the founder of ACE of M.I.C.E Awards, the Head of Turizm Medya Group Volkan Ataman presented Gül Ege her award.
Publicity in Antalya brought the award
The chairwoman of Antalya Publicity Foundation, Yeliz Gül Ege said: “I would like to thank the Head of Turizm Medya Group, Volkan Ataman and to Antalya Publicity Foundation where I act as the CEO and to Antalya Congress Bureau for this award. This year we, as Antalya Congress Bureau, have supported ACE of M.I.C.E. even more and we have promoted Antalya under a single body for the first time with a 300 square-meter large stand. Our support will continue in the future.”
A 10-thousand seat capacity congress center to open in Antalya
Noting that they would like to attract attention to Antalya, the Chairwoman of ATAV, Gül Ege has stated a congress center with 10-thousand seat capacity is to open in the city which currently has a capacity of 200 thousand seats. Gül Ege said; “I can assure you that companies to organize events will pay more attention to Antalya. I would also like to remind the Turkish Airlines at this point. Thanks to their direct flights, Antalya will deserve this award even more.”
Gül Ege dedicates the award to her father
The Chairwoman of ATAV, Yeliz Gül Ege dedicated the award to her deceased father who used to deal with tourism industry, and she concluded her words as follows: “My father passed away a week ago. He was my role model. I want to dedicate this award to him. We need to promote Antalya with the destination management model and adopt the motto ‘Connecting Dots’ to establish a bond with the other destinations in Turkey. We will give best efforts to promote our city and country. This is a real struggle and we are going to win. My motto has always been as ‘Your homeland is your greatest treasure and you need to work hard to protect it.’ I have always worked hard and will continue to do so.”
The 7th ACE of M.I.C.E. Awards Event and Meeting Award Ceremony aims to guide the sustainable development of congresses, meetings and events, to encourage the organizations and companies of the industry aiming at perfection and to promote Turkish MICE industry globally.
